When's the best time to learn to dive?

This is a tough question to answer, it depends entirely on what kind of diver you're going to become!

Even if you're only learning to dive with a view to diving on holiday, we would ALWAYS advise that you log some dives soon after completing your course with us and prior to jetting off.

So you're committed to learning to dive, good! We're all about bringing new divers through the system.

Temperature

It's no secret, diving in the UK is referred to as cold water diving. This is because it's colder than the warm water diving you'll be doing abroad!

Typically the inland locations we use for Open Water training are 3-4 months behind the air temperature, so when the air temperature starts to drop in September and October there are still some months of warm water left. This goes the other way too, as the spring temperatures come through in March, the water remains cold until May(ish)

We dive (and teach) all year round though and there is plenty of ways to stay warm, comfortable and safe.

Your availability

Deadlines

Your workload

There's never a better time to learn than now, don't forget a SCUBA certification is valid for life so learning now and refreshing later is the norm for lots of divers.

So what are you waiting for?
